Jakarta, Tangerang, Teluk Naga

My search for a space to situate the 1st SOUL Center which caters to needy kids bring my visit to Jakarta, in a place called Tangerang and one of its villages named 'Teluk Naga'. Population in one area is up to 8k. Several villages are nearby, they do have 1 school but its not free for the residents. Living conditions are not easy. In this photo, it cost between 500 to 1.5k SGD to build one shed. Its raw material is bamboo.

Water is not easily available as they can't afford plumbing systems which require drilling from at least 4m to 8m. So they tap resources from a nearby drain. These bamboo sheds are not water proof. Once they touch water, rotting will begin as its impossible to sundry especially the side walls. Usual durability can last from 10 - 15yrs if the sheds are well preserve.
